MySpace LayoutsI am a loving and devoted wife. ATL native. Love having fun because tommorrow is not promised. ATL Falcons Football Fan since birth. This year has been very hard for me because I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I never thought in a million years I would ever have a disease as serious as this one. Although I was newly diagnosed right before my birthday September 5,2006, I still continue to fight and not let it get me down. I have not gotten to the point where I am totally disabled, but sometimes it feels that way. I ignored and hid the symptoms because; I thought it was something that was going to go away I didn’t know what was happening to me. I was very scared and afraid I had done something wrong or that the doctor was going to tell me something like I was going to die in a matter of days. I did find out that this is a lifetime disease and there is no known cause or cure for it but, there are treatments available to slow the progression of the disease. For awhile I went through a denial state but, then I thought life will go on whether I am here or not. As time goes along I will continue to exercise and stay knowledgeable about my disease. I have a lot of support from my family, friends, and mainly my husband which is the strongest man I know. I do not have any kids right now but, we will soon. Upon my wishes do not have pity on me, just learn. Knowledge is the key! THE FIGHT MUST CONTINUE!
