MEET DA FUTURE: 1st things 1st: Me and wifey just had A beautiful baby girl. She is awesome! *****************************************Chris “Da Future” Green is a hot heavyweight prospect full of potential in boxing’s “Glamour Division”. An extremely strong and intimidating figure at 6’5” tall and 235 pounds. Despite having only a few professional fights under his belt, Chris has quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with on the regional level and will soon be making a big splash on the national scene. Chris is originally from the dirty, dirty south (Alexandria, LA/ New Roads, LA), But made is his way to denver, CO. Before boxing, Chris began as a high school and college athlete. Attending John F. Kennedy High School in Denver, CO he was a stand out athlete in football, track and basketball. Upon graduation, Chris received a full basketball scholarship at Western State College in Gunnison, CO. Chris played nearly every position on the floor from center to point guard, showing his diverse talent and skill. As with many fighters, what makes them so good, can make them bad as well. Chris’s ‘mean streak’ led him down a dark path that led to incarceration several times, including a 28 month stint of his life in prison. Like one of the all time greats, Bernard Hopkins, Chris is fighting his way from the bottom to the top. He did his time and made the most of it. Chris says, “I’ve learned a lot. Unfortunately, I had to learn my lessons the hard way. While these other guys were coming up in the amatuers, I was in and out of jail and prison.” Although Chris first laced up a pair of gloves at the age of 17, he didn’t truly take to boxing until nearly 10 years later. Chris was a ‘natural’ and soon found that the boxing ring was where he wanted to earn his living. Combining hard training and dedication, Chris made the jump to the professional ranks in impressive fashion stopping his opponent in the first minute of the very first round. CHRIS HAS ALSO BOUNCED BACK FROM BEING SHOT 5 TIMES!! MOST RECENTLY, TWICE IN THE BACK, IN OCTOBER OF 2005 IN WHICH HE WAS ON LIFE SUPPORT. He recovered in an amazing amount of time, switched trainers and stepped into the ring and lost two in a row. Some would say Chris climbed back in the ring a little too soon after the shooting and was not yet nearly 100 percent. But, this past fall he avenged one of those losses in a rematch. Chris is currently training with Heavyweight Contender DaVarryl "Touch of Sleep" Williamson. Chris's professional Boxing record is 4-2 3 KO's.
