About TTAB'S The name alone conjures up visuals of bangin nights, anyone from the midlands who loves their dance will most probably have been to one of the TTAB'S events and had a night of top drawer music. The night itself tends to veer towards the trancier side of Hardcore as opposed to the Gabba, so for most of you lot out there its fair to say its assessable compared to many clubs. So with the two giant lasers, smoke machine and video screens in place it was time to party Ttab's stylee. First up Headset Boy with MC Amberlift, for me this was trance, hard of course, but definitely trance. The djing was faultless, tunes blended together seamlessly and Amberlift showed why he's one of the best MCs around. Chock n Cone entertained us next but again I gotta say it was very hard trance, the sort that been played out in London for the last couple of years. It strikes me that a lot of people who are dissing hardcore go out every weekend and listen to very similar music. It's them that are missing out however as by now the atmosphere in here was as hot as the chilli sauce in the kebab van outside. It was going to be a top night. Hardcore was what most here wanted and TCX sorted it for 'em, 'You're a beacon', 'Chase' and even push back baby' getting an airing although at a speed it was never intended for. This was the best bit of the night for me; I was happily hammered on expensive cheap beer (superclub prices) to the point that Headset Boy nominated me as the new face of Ttab's. Oh dear me. Up to the decks next came Dave H, the crowd matching the man's own excesses in the madcap dancing competition, the guy really enjoys himself up there, its fun just watching the lad go for it. Following him was DJ Hummer, again trance barging it way to the front only for the MCs to slap it down and make you realise your raving. The last hour was spent trying to sort my head out for the journey home ha! So TTABS, did it pass the grade? Big fat YES to that one. The futures bright the futures TTAB'S......
