XANTHA is bringing , great feel good music back to the Urban Contemporary and R&B game. XANTHA has been branded as the “Loose Ends” for the new millennium. The lead singer Xanthe Ivey , who the group is named after and North Carolina native, has a distinct sultry voice unique to today’s female singers. Her exotic looks are a prelude to her vocal ability. Kelven Tabbs an Atlanta native better known as KTABBS is the master mind behind the groups pulsating ora. Kelven and Xanthe both are instrumental in writing their lyrics and Kelven also being the cement within the production team. They both are educated musicians. Xanthe was a music major as well as Kelven being an audio visual engineering major. The group was formed in 1992 when they began their journey toward what will become one of the greatest groups of our time. Slowed down in 1995 by an almost fatal car accident in which the entire group was involved they continued to work on their craft and the direction of XANTHA. That event would put them back almost 3yrs. After recovery they restarted their development process while traveling to record in Daddy’s House (BAD BOY STUDIOS) at which time they were managed by P Diddy’s cousin who ran the facility. They also began to spot perform in Washington DC. After developing a small following the group decided to move to ATLANTA GA Kelven’s home town. During that time they met Coy McCall a dance choreographer. He brought such splash to Xanthe’s performance that they decided to add him as a third member. He is Mr Excitement on stage. As well as being an amazing free style dancer he is also educated in dance theory. The debut album REAL GIRL FRIENDS ONLINE will be released in the summer of 2009 followed by the release of the film with the same title in the summer of 2010. Get ready for the movement.
