How did you become interested in becoming an artist?
I don’t think of myself as an “artist.†I feel like I was just born to be me, up front with 13 Stories, workin’ it, writin’ it and wailin’ it. When I hear the word “artist†I think of painters, photographers, sculptors and well, Prince.
What do you like best about being in a band?
I could answer this a thousand times…but the first few things that come to mind…1. Traveling to different cities and getting to rock 13 Stories songs. 2. The outrageousness, sexiness and comfort of the clothes and accessories that I get to wear. 3. Laughing loudly and often with Cat. 4. Feeling like I am exactly where I need to be and doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing.

I can’t decide between two:
Kiss, in my home town, Detroit Rock City …it was absolutely mind-blowing in so many ways.
The Indigo Girls with Atlanta Ballet…unbelievably moving and wonderful.
