Peggstarr, Hip Hops most controversial Female MC. Born and raised on Long Island, NY. She brings new meaning to the word EMOTION, and moves crowds with her RAW, and HEARTFELT lyrics. Peggstarr started out in the Hip hop Scene as a DJ at some of the hottest bars and clubs on Long Island... that turned her into a well respected, and well known artist. She writes her own lyrics, and produces her own music out of her own Recording Studio. She has been in the process of starting her own Independent Record Label called Dream Team Records, and has her own DJ company. She works hand and hand with DJ Maniack (Rakims Original Producer), who produces all of her beats, and gives insight on production tips. She has created a buzz, and gathered a huge following on her music site on Myspace.com/stiggistarr. Fans leave messages, and comments on her songs, and leave feedback about shows. She has performed in NYC at places such as Rush, Pyramid, Caos, & The Key Roller Skating Rink. She has auditioned for a few TV shows such as Puff Daddys "Making The Band 2", Missy Elliots "The Road To Stardom", Amateur Night At The Apollo, & VH1s "Female Rapper Show". She has had a few radio interviews on 90.1 WUSB in Stonybrook NY, & 106.7 Club Border Live in Watertown NY. She has been interviewed on Cablevisions Public Access show "The Recover Channel", U-N-V-US, and a Christian Rap Show. She won 1st place in (round 3) for Long Island Pride Idol, and runner up in Final competition. She won 1st place 2 times at Honeys for their Talent Show. She won 2nd place @ Metasin for their Hip Hop contest hosted by U-N-V-US, and won 3rd place at Molly Blooms 2 for their Hip Hop contest hosted by U-N-V-US, The Hip Hop industry has been waiting a long time for an act like Peggstarr, and over the last year she has proven herself worthy of being a well respected Hip Hop Icon in the FUTURE!!!
