Gotti Got Thangz grew up like any other Latin kid on the block with dreams. Thanks to his Father bringing him along for old blues and soul music jam sessions music has been in his blood since birth. By age 13 Gotti was participating in the typical activities of street cats, struggling and hustling to get by. While music was always there, it just wasnt paying his way. On April 4, 2002 Gottis oldest brother, Anthony Jacob Villanueva, was murdered outside a club in downtown South Bend. The event proved to be both traumatic and empowering, as Gotti used the tragic passing of his brother to fuel his motivation for music. He has since jumped head-first into the music game and in October of 2005 he officially signed with Mo Shine Records. In the meantime he is politicking with all kinds of music heads all across the nation and recently won Artist of the Year for South bend Indiana and Song of the Year also for his hit song(Do You Remember Me). What I really want to bring to the industry is a sense of passion and hope for young Latino kids growing up rough in this world, says Gotti Got Thangz.
