Diamond Boy Luis started his quest for the spotlight at a very young age, competing in local talent shows and performing in school plays. Following the steps of his older brother David, Diamond Boy Luis joined local groups as a background vocalist, Luis even had the opportunity of performing with his brother David, an original member of the Florida based dance group Nice & Wild who had the smash hit, Diamond Girl in the late 80's.
In 1996, Diamond Boy Luis joined the legendary New York dance radio station 103.5 WKTU, quickly making his way through, Luis produced top jocks such as Broadway Bill Lee, Al Bandiero, and others.
Diamond Boy Luis caught the attention of ALL STAR Program Director Frankie Blue, and played an active roll as part of the on air staff. After making his mark at KTU, he took his talents on the road and worked in other markets such as Boston, Connecticut, etc..
Finally returning to New York in 1999 to Spanish super station MEGA 97.9-WSKQ. In 2001 Diamond Boy Luis went international as he became a Video dj for 102.5 RTL of Italy, broadcasting live from New York to more than 20 countries (Italy, Cuba, Poland, Russia, South America, to name a few). In 2002 change was in the air and Diamond Boy landed at New York's Top 40 Latin station 105.9/92.7 Latino Mix becoming part of the Coco & Celines Morning show and having his own Mid-day show "FREESTYLE FLASHBACK". In 2004 he was awarded BEST HISPANIC ON AIR TALENT of NEW YORK given by the New York A.I.R. AWARDS and again in 2005.
In the summer of 2005 DBL moved west and rocked the airwaves in Phoenix Arizona quickly becomming one of the top rated jocks in the market.
In the Spring of 2007 Los Angeles California came calling and in July 15th of 2007 Diamond Boy Luis joined the On Air staff of the 1 Hurban radio station in the country, LATINO 96.3...L.A's Number 1 PARTY STATION!!
