Editing Drums for my upcoming 4 track EP - rocks!

About Me

I am European. Europeans are modest. I have been living in the States for 6 years and feel it is time to shed my European modesty... So here are the facts: I have been in bands since I was twelve. I have toured in the US, Europe, the UK and Japan. I've played to 60.000 people and to 6. I have opened up for IRON MAIDEN, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, and Van Halen. I have played on 30 albums and have been signed to Parlophone and Atlantic. I have played and recorded with varying artists from Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden's singer) to Catastrophe Ballet. My band Vamp was the first German band to be signed to an American major label, my band Skin had the NO.1 ROCK ALBUM in the UK. I have had the pleasure to work with producers Keith Olsen (Fleetwood Mac; Foreigner; Whitesnake) and Tony Platt - the man who recorded “Back In Black”. Since coming to LA I have recorded and toured with Deccatree (“Battle Of Life” for Atlantic Records) and Anna Nalick and have opened up for Michelle Branch. I also had the pleasure of working with recent producing Grammy award winner John Shanks, Don Gehman and Mark Dearnley – the man who recorded “Highway To Hell”. And, since last Saturday, I am 7-time winner of the Orange County Music Awards - I like that! I am endorsed by DW drums. Here is some live footage from the last Deccatree tour up in Seattle - check it out, it even features expressive dancing from the headliners Barcelona in our second song "Belong"! .......This is a video I shot with Skin at the Monsters of Rock in Castle Donnington in '94. .......Here you can see some of my long-haired metal action with Bruce!

Sounds Like: Depends on who you believe. Bruce Dickinson (of Iron Maiden) once stated "Dicki Fliszar is the most awesome drummer on the planet" (Kerrang Magazine). My friend G. Asparagus on the other hand said: "Your drumfill sounds like a sack full of potatoes thrown down the cellar stairs". I guess somewhere in between lays the truth.

Personal record

Ok, so the other day I recorded 14 songs in one session. I had heard half of the songs once before, the other half was brand new. Now that's my personal record. Just wanted to write that down.....Oh, ...
