Formed in November of 2006 by Rob Coxford and Jake Chirico, the City Escape is a musical project that is beginning to take off as the duo focuses on creating a unique set that provides an interesting auditory as well as visual experience.
Both musicians have played in separate local bands (Rob Coxford in the Fonts and Jake Chirico in the disbanded Tomorrow Will Tell) before writing together. Their style is heavily influenced by 80’s synth rock, explores various effects and also incorporates drum machines into the mix. Having a solid knowledge of the recording arts, they use pre-recorded tracks as an integral part of their live performance.
