It's way to depressing to list all the show's I find myself watching. Ideally I'd never watch it, in reality I've find myself repeatedly drawn to "Deal or No Deal," "Make Me A Super Model" and "The X-Factor."
"Master and Margeritta" (Bulgakov), "1984" (Orwell), "Hunger" (Hamson), "Dubliners" (Joyce), "Pastoralia" and "Civilwarland in Bad Decline" (George Saunders), A Clockwork Orange (Burgess), The New York Trilogy (Auster), The Great Gatsby (Can't Remember Just Now), Metamorphosis (Kafka), The Outsider (Camus) or anything about a male character stuggling to with some sort of existential crisis in an alienating urban environment. Really into reading about Eastern European Communism and other authoritairian/totalitarian political regiems just now, esspecially the G.D.R. and the Stasi, just now as well; as a Westener so used to the actually amazingly liberal and permissive nature of twenty-first century Britain it fassinating to try and imagine what it was like to live in such massively repressed and dangerous society, but also to feel strangely jeleous of their struggle.
What ever happened to them?
