About Me

I have had a complex and somewhat strange life thus far, of which this document truly reveals very little. I have experienced both monastic security and actual life-danger, creative joy and the fervor of active political extremism, hippieish promiscuity and chaste discipline, clandestine anonymity and fame, underground and underworld, imprisonment and freedom, the street life and aristocratic milieux. I suppose I am an extremist ... yet every day and every page reminds me that the opposite poles may be closer than they seem, and I can't help but delight in those moments of synthesis. I am grateful for all that has happened, and, though somewhat more settled now, it's not over yet. And through it all, I've been writing every day. --Zoe Tamerlis Lund, 1962-1999.
At my best, I am open-minded, kind, silly, intelligent and fun-loving. At my worst, I am self-centered, impatient, mercurial and loud. I try to be more of my best than my worst but I consider myself a work in progress.

I'm pretty much everywhere.
I have kind of eclectic tastes:

My Interests

3am phone calls, affection, Alice In Wonderland, art and artists, beauty in all its incarnations, being in love, body modification, chai tea, cheese, collages, cooking, creativity, Diet Coke, feminism, fireworks, flirting, Frida Kahlo, giggling, good friends, guacamole, Hedwig, hiking, my Honda Fit, intelligent conversation, kittens, Kurt Vonnegut, laughter, learning, letter-writing, libraries, lime green, Margot Tenenbaum, new places, optimism, organic foods, Pablo Neruda, peace, pen pals, people-watching, pescatarianism, photography, pomegrantes, proper English, Rainer Maria Rilke, reading, redheads, religious studies, roadtrips, sad music, sapiosexualism, sarcasm, scarves, scrapbooking, sex, shopping, singing in the shower, smiling, snark, South Africa, sunshine, surprises, sustainable lifestyles, swimming, swingsets, Sylvia Plath, taking pictures, taking the long way, tattoos, the beach (especially at night or during the winter), the ocean, The Royal Tenenbaums, thrifting, thunder & lightning, traveling, trying new restaurants, used book stores, Wes Anderson, wine, wishes, words, world religions.

I'd like to meet:

I want somebody who can hold my interest, hold it and never let it fall. Someone who can flatten me with a kiss that hits like a fist, or a sentence, that stops me like a brick wall... I'm tired of being the interesting one, I'm tired of having fun for two. Just lay yourself on the line, and I might lay myself down by you. I want somebody who can make me scream until it's funny, give me a run for my money. I want someone who can twist me up in knots. Tell me, for the woman who has everything, what have you got? I want someone who's not afraid of me, or anyone else, in other words, I want someone, who's not afraid of themself. Do you think I'm asking too much?

-"Asking Too Much," Ani DiFranco.

That about sums it up. Know anybody like that? Are you somebody like that?
