These are the very questions to ask yourself as you look deeper into the story behind The Ellis Armor. Although these lyrics hold relevant meaning in every day choices they also hold the key to the questions asked by every band out there living a dream.
Finally named The Ellis Armor in late 2005 this Pacific Northwest band knows what it means to put all on the line and chase a dream. The five piece metalcore act has a style that is all their own, yet their music hints at the pieces of ground work laid by the great underground bands that proceed them. The music has been described by so many adjectives and genres that one truly finds it hard to place a tag with any one style. Like a great abstract painting misunderstood for its artistic presentation this band is known to grow both an audiences curiosity and praise. The music ranges from blistering guitar riffs and machine gun double kick to melodic calms before a storm. All of this combines with thoughtful lyrics and scream/sing vocals to produce the perfect picture of the arrangements meaning. Starting from plain white canvas this abstract painting of music turns from total chaos to a perfectly painted Van Gogh in the blink of an eye.
