she's calling out to anyone....who won't dissappear or fade away.....

About Me

I'm lost in life. Sometimes I wish I knew what I wanted to do with my life. Have everything strictly planned out. Know how I'm going to be earning the big bucks. Know that I'm going to be living a successful life. But then I realize, that's not what I want. I love not knowing what's going to happen. I hate planning out everything. I hate knowing what's going to happen and when. I'm the kind of person who will get into a car and just drive with no destination in mind. Wherever the road takes me is where I'll go. I live for adventure. And excitement. I can't stay in one place for too long.
Shawn Mullins said it best when he sings, "I've always known....that the road is my home and my spirit is wild."
That's how I often feel. And I happen to love Shawn Mullins. And just music in general. Music is my passion. Playing it, performing it, seeing it. I play guitar, drums, sax and piano. I have no problem traveling long distances for a live show. There's nothing better than live music. Except energy drinks. But that's a different story. My favorite bands? Brian Vander Ark. And The Samples. (many thanks to Brian for introducing me to them.) And Edwin McCain. And Sister Hazel. And many, many more. I'm a concert junkie. Whenever, wherever there is a show, I'll be there. Even if that means flying down to Florida to get on a boat for five days, surronded by 2000 other music fans and 30+ bands. aka The Rock Boat--the greatest experience ever.
I love helping out the bands. Selling merch. Setting up gear. Promoting shows. Getting them food. Providing them with a place to crash for the night. Whatever. I'd love someday to be a band manager. Or a touring manager. Or something like that. I also love jamming. With the bands. Whether it's playing tambourine with The Samples or Michael Tolcher. Playing cowbells with Virginia Coalition. Or playing bongos with Dexter Freebish. Fun stuff.
I hate people who take life too seriously. Things happen. Promises break. Friends hurt you. Face it. It's a part of life. Think about it. Reflect on it. But move on. Life's too short. Make the most of it. Live with no regrets. Do your own thing. Laugh. A lot. It makes everything better. I remember Fred LeBlanc of Cowboy Mouth once said to me:
"just have fun in life. dont worry about what people think. dont worry about what YOU think either. H-A-V-E F-U-N. thats what its all about, right?"
So true. Go. Have fun. Screw anyone who brings you down.
Adventure, music, passion and fun. That's my life.
Love, Soul, Rock 'n' Rolla

My Interests

Playing guitar, going to concerts, eating, sleeping, going to more concerts, shopping and did I mention concerts?

also love softball, skiing, surfing, going to nyc (and any other city for that matter), summer, traveling, eating good cajun food, taking pictures, reading, laughing, enjoying life, driving to anywhere, pizza at 2am, peach rings, energy drinks, sublime trucker hats, cowboy hats, cowboys in general, southern cooking, thunderstorms, random indie films, camoflauge, and lounging around doing nothing all day.
