ALTERNATIV is a new edgy, funky model agency in Liverpool. The company is owned and managed by Emma Diva
This My Space page is for the purpose of promoting our alternative high fashion company. I DO NOT ANSWER MESSAGES SENT HERE. We are seeking new talent, especially people who are on the alternative side of fashion. We will be providing models for editorial and high fashion, along with work for music videos, tv castings and walk on/extra work and promotional work.

Our Company Vision:
The ‘alternative’ image has always been indicative of a subculture, but now in the 21st century, the lines between mainstream and subversive are becoming blurred, which will provide a wider arena of employment options for our models* previously targeting separate genres. What once was subversive, considered underground, is now desirable to the parent culture; it has become a prerequisite for ‘cool’.
*models, dancers, tv/film extras, musicians.
Alternativ Model Management was set up in 2007 because we wanted to challenge the mainstream concept of ‘beauty’ and provide a platform for people to exhibit their individual skills as a collective organic art form. We not only recognise that perception of beauty is non-static, but that people are multi-talented and these abilities can work in harmony with each other instead of being marketed separately.
SAFE MODELLING
Reputable agencies are very careful not to take on models who are unlikely to get work, but the scam agencies will take on literally everyone who applies - but they often claim to be very selective, saying that new models have to be approved by their Directors, selection panel etc - don't be fooled by this!
Some of the model agencies that appear to be scams do in fact cover themselves by appearing to try to find work for their models - but maybe they don't try too hard...
Of course, this type of 'agency' is only really interested in getting you to pay them for their so-called agency services and doesn't want the hassle of actually finding work for models.
