I'm an electric and upright bass player, promoter, engineer, producer, and song writer located in Portland, Oregon. As a producer, engineer, and promoter I work under my company name of "Ripping Glass Entertainment". To date I have produced three CD's and recorded several others.
I play the bass in variety of styles but have recently focused on blues and rock. I am consumed playing with 3 bands around Portland: The Insomniacs, Big Monti and Black Tangerine. Like most lucky bass players, I am also a hire gun in the blues scene on the west coast, working with a variety of local and national acts when I get the call.
My most recent studio gig was on a track called "Turn The Light On Me" for a a band called Miriam's Well . The CD has just been released and you can hear the tune on my player listed as "Miriam's Well". You like? - Check out their MySpace Page

My most recent CD project has been with a new Blues band called"The Insomniacs". We just released a CD that I produced and recorded along with Vyasa Dodson. It's been getting plenty of airplay in the Northwest. The CD has been picked up by Delta Groove Music and will be promoted and released worldwide on August 2007. The recording contract, airplay, reviews, feature articles, and awards have generated hot interest in the band and we will be touring in the fall to support the CD release. . Monti Amundson is a world renowned Texas blues/rock monster who spends much of his time touring Europe. When he's in town, I get the honor of playing with Monti and Cory Burden at many places on the West Coast. You can check out hiswebsite . Black Tangerine is a completely different experience. It is a pop/rock band that is far removed from blues. I produced and recorded our debut CD in early 2006. Check out our Myspace page to hear it, and purchase it online at CD Baby . Again, a very talented lineup that you have to see live.
I have also had the pleasure of teaching at the Centrum Blues and Heritage Festival up in Port Townsend Washington. If you perform or are just into acoustic blues, I highly recommend it. I have had the opportunity to perform with legendary artists like Honeyboy Edwards, Louisiana Red, Cephas & Wiggins, Lightnin' Wells, Rich Delgrosso, and Daryl Davis. An unbelievable experience that has had a huge impact on my life.
Living in the Northwest has given my the opportunity to jam and perform with many local blues talents such as: Curtis Salgado, Paul Delay, Lloyd Jones, Carlton Jackson, Chris Carlson, Duffy Bishop, Johnny Ward, Lauren Sheehan, Jim Wallace, Rae Gordon, Josh Fulero, Kinzel & Hyde, Papa Salty, Phil "Suburban Slim" Wagner, Marco Savo, Jimi Bott, Boyd Small, Jeff Strawbridge, and countless other talented blues musicians that hang in Jumptown.[if !IE]
