'It was making a move, we had to get it on'

About Me

LUNADEATHMONKEY is: Johnny on guitars and vocals, Jimmy on drums and Ray on bass and vocals. They are musical brothers who play rock music. They play a lot of different kinds of heavy rock; Cream-Hendrix inspired jams, through to heavier Zep-type and Sabbath-esque grooves. And just like the Doors, they really dig the parts of the songs where it just cuts loose and the music goes where it has to.Playing music for them is never predictable - each rehearsal and show is an unfolding event where anything can and will happen. New songs may suggest themselves spontaneously, amazing moments reveal themselves and emotions are released. This is a group interested in pushing the boundaries of improvisation within the rock and rock format, not just content to play three minute hits. The band describe themselves as being psychedelic 'cos they're sort of funky hippies who like making their own art. Jimmy likes to draw portraits of friends in a naive style, while Johnny likes painting, photography and making and collecting tribal masks. New bassplayer, Ray, likes photographing whales in his spare time.LUNADEATHMONKEY are writing new original tunes and for their self-produced debut which should be done soon. In the meantime, you can look out for a live show in the Wollongong/Sydney area. Background By myspacemaster.net MySpace Layouts MySpace Codes MySpace Backgrounds
