(Background): Yo whats good myspace? This the official page of the Houston boy Gerald Green Jr. I was born on January 26, 1986. I am a professional baller for the Boston Celtics. I was selected as the 18th pick overall in the 2005 NBA draft.
(High School Info): I didnt play high school ball until my sophomore year, where I played JV. In my senior year I made varsity but I didnt get much playin time because of grades. I transferred to a private school (Gulf Shores Academey) up in Houston, where I repeated my junior year. In my senior year there I averaged 33 points, 12 boards, 7 assists, and 3 blocks HOLLA AT ME! I was named an All-American in the annual McDonald's All-American game.
(Draft Info): I originally committed to attendin Oklahoma State University, but I changed my mind and decided to enter the draft after graduation. I hired an agent, makin myself ineligible to participate in NCAA athletics. I was expected by many analysts to be one of the top few players chosen but I fell to the Celtics, who selected me with the 18th pick. My fall is attributed to my decision to give individual workouts only for the teams with the top six picks prior to the draft. I drew comparisons to T-Mac. I was one of the last players to enter the NBA directly from High School, as the collective bargainin agreement between NBA owners and the NBA Players Association now mandates that American players who enter the NBA Draft must be at least one year removed from the graduation of their high school class and reach age 19 no later than December 31. SO YEAH I MADE IT JUST IN TIME! HOLLA AT ME!
(2005-06 Season): Durin the preaseason, I averaged 8 points, and 1.3 boards per game in the 2005 Las Vegas Summer League. After seein limited playin time through the first part of the season, I was placed on the Fayetteville Patriots of the NBDL. The Celtics called me back but then sent me back to the NBDL this time playin for the Florida Flame. They called me back one more time this time givin me playin time and I had a good night droppin 13 points to go along with 9 boards in 23 minutes. YO BOY IS LIKE THAT! I winded up playin 32 games and averaged 5.2 ppg, and 1.2 rpg.
