About Me

br /Diop Olugbala, born Wali Abdur-Rahman, joined the International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement in 2001. He began as a member of the Brooklyn Branch of InPDUM. He joined the African People's Socialist Party later that year.Through the aggressive style of outreach he developed on the Brooklyn front, Diop helped to transform the style of outreach the Uhuru Movement had used on the London front. In this period, he took on the alias of “Africa’s Trigger” – because of his ability to incite revolutionary action from other Africans. Upon his return to the U.S., Diop was appointed by the Central Committee of the APSP to the position of International Organizer of the International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement. Since then he has been traveling throughout the U.S. and the world, building branches of InPDUM where they do not exist. Some areas where his work has taken him include Accra, Ghana, Huntsville, Alabama, Chatanooga TN, Madrid, Spain, Amsterdam, Holland, Paris, France, Oakland, CA, Philadelphia, Sierra Leone, Boston, Richmond, VA, Tampa, FL, Atlanta, Baltimore, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, CA, and San Diego, CA – soon to come to a ‘hood near you!!
