RUSSELL ALI - Guitarist and Co-writer of Who's Next In Music's Them Song

Russell Ali is a wide-eyed Bengali kid who seems amazed by every kind gesture that comes his way. He's also a no-holds-barred, devilish, rock guitarist that is charting a course through the music industry unlike any recent musician. He's also fortunate to be under the mentorship of Dave Weiderman, founder of Guitar Center and head of A&R.

In his teenage years, Russell was a pop sensation in Bangladesh with his band, Warfaze and profoundly affected millions of kids through his music and unique style. As an artist living in Hollywood, he's become a force in not only rock music, bt in the quickly emerging field of video game soundtracks. In 2007 he plays on several video games such as WWE smackdown vs RAW, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six: Las Vegas and next years Halo 3 soundtrack.

After winning the renowned Guitar Center contest, Russell was selected among thousands of guitarists to be the new member of Limp Bizkit. "I worked with Limp Bizkit for a while, wrote some songs, and then it just stopped feeling right" says the humble guitarist. He's also worked with Cypress Hill, Godhead, Static X, Faith No More, System of a Down, and even Kelly Clarkson. But what Russell really wants is his own band, and he's looking for a singer songwriter. So keep an eye out for this kid. He's unstoppable.
