This is a LIFE OF AGONY fan page, totally unofficial. This band has torn its way into the heart and soul of many, many people, and we are here to spread the word to those who are in the tribe, and those who are unaware... HERES THE MUSIC HISTORY...If you feel us, add us...All of ya who are on this page, and wonder WHO IS LIFE OF AGONY.... get ya ass into gear and find the songs at www.lifeofagony.com. They are the rulers of all depressing and hatred music... find it 4 yaselves in the path to this music. They cant write a song that has not touched EVERYONE... 1993, the band LIFE OF AGONY, consisting of KEITH CAPUTO- vocals, JOEY Z- guitarist, ALAN ROBERT- bassist, and SAL ABRUSCATO- kick ass drummer, blew into the music scene. They released their debut full length album, entitled RIVER RUNS RED. This was a perfect blend of hardcore metal, rap, and extremely unpredictable riff changes and sound mixtures during each track. Thats why its so addictive to listen to over and over again. Tracks such as THIS TIME, RIVER RUNS RED, and BAD SEED are Keith putting full emotion into his lyrics, producing the talent that blew peoples minds. That combined with the angry, chunky, slap happy sounds of Joey and Alan showed us all the connection that the band had, and the pedal happy psychotic drumming from Sal was a key link of proving they lacked no talent whatsoever... Double kicks, ear piercing high hats and chest rumbling percussion, left us with this...LOOK OUT COS L.O.A IS HERE TO STAY! Tracks like METHOD OF GROOVE show the guys can belt out their own lyrics through joey and sal... as did THROUGH AND THROUGH showed an influence from BIOHAZARD, while still sounding completely genuine, and insane to the core. WHO COULD FUCK WITH THE aGoNy? NO-ONE!!!!Next album was UGLY, and was a follow up album with no flaws. It had alot of anger towards family, but also proved that Keith was getting over the bad place he'd fallen into, but still writing lyrics that send chills. LOST AT 22, LETS PRETEND, and HOW IT WOULD BE were perfect examples of a sound change in the music but the exact same feel, a feeling of anger and resent, but also FORGIVING. And tracks like UNSTABLE and DRAINED were Keith showing that emotions come before actions. But the shock and beauty as they belted the new sound out was the fact they could write about TORMENT as well as HAPPY SHIT... thus proving they were sticking to the shit they did prior to this album. And the SIMPLE MINDS cover of DONT YOU FORGET ABOUT ME was one of the best covers of all time... just so well done and rearranged, no faults. perfect way to end the album.Then just before you knew it, album 3 titled SOUL SEARCHING SUN hit the stores!!! A COMPLETELY different sound, and missing drummer sal, replaced by Dan Richardson, But still awesome nonetheless, even though it was the only album without Sal. This album had a different approach to prior songs, but, as done before, no flaws. WEEDS, HEMOPHILIAC IN ME and MY MIND IS DANGEROUS were depressingly written in some way, but very uplifting. Then tracks like NEG, DESIRE, and HEROIN DREAMS were made to open the eyes of those who felt no passion in life, and to make them see theres always a way to make it better. YOU CAN ALWAYS GET BACK UP FROM YOUR SLUMP AND START AGAIN...which is a true way to be. For a group who set depression as a standard, L.O.A made us all shut up and listen....HEMOPHILIAC IN ME gave us all chills as keith gently Whispered.."smoke tracks in my fingers....so ease the speed back..." HOW CAN YOU WRITE BETTER THAN THAT?The group split and went their seperate ways after attempts to rekindle what was once the sound of L.O.A, but parted ways in 1999. All doing their solo stuff, and this was awesome, but no dis-respect to L.O.A, it just wasnt them...even though it was excellent and money well spent on buying.Then in 1999, THE BEST OF L.O.A was released. a combination of B-sides and demo tracks. This sounded nothing like their 3 albums released, but was still very good and showed the tracks not put on their albums were still worthy of it. 10 years of unreleased tracks, and didnt sell many copies, but we found it to be exceptional.Next album was an unplugged release, very short but a totally different side to the group. It showed exactly what they were capable of when all 4 of them were performing together.NOTHING...NOTHING...BOOM!!! The release of the dvd/cd RIVER RUNS AGAIN, after a 6 year break, just brought life back from the dead! The live dvd and 2 part cd was filmed on a once off concert in early january 2003 and released for everyones pleasure..it was un-fucking-believable... You wouldnt believe it was that long since their last live concert, and the n.y.c crowd proved that they were missed dearly... THANK GOD THEY WERE BACK!!! And then all of a sudden..WE FUCKING MISSED YOU FUCKERS!!!a new album written....BROKEN VALLEY was released in JUNE, 2005!! This album made critics cringe and say things such as "L.O.A ARENT JUST BACK, THEYRE BETTER THAN EVER!", and "AN ALBUM REMINDING US OF HOW METAL IS MEANT TO SOUND." By doing the N.Y.C concert in 2003 it proved that there was a spark when all 4 members were together, and there was no denying it... and new album with the 4 originals HAD TO BE MADE!! This album was the first in over 7 years, and showed they hadn't lost a damn thing. LOVE TO LET YOU DOWN was a single and video, and won 3rd best clip of the year in the U.K. And from there, every song from LAST CIGARETTE & WICKED WAYS show the groups passion for metal flourished with anger, where as ROOM 244 & JUNK SICK show the guys are so into all the crap that goes on, that not only are they down, but STAYING HERE FOREVER....Please excuse the lack of videos, we are working on it because youtube are having issues, but as soon as its fixed there's gonna be a bulletin with good news posted..Enjoy the dedication page! peace.
