Waxfruit Sugar Pill are a dynamic musical duo who in non-performance hours are known to the world as Jack Bradley and Michael Porta. If you're viewing this site, chances are you already know the dim outlines of the Waxfruit Sugar Pill story. If you're not in the know, it's a tale of two rather advantaged guys who overcame quite surmountable odds stacked lightly against them in pleasant, upscale patches of Greater Gotham, learning guitar in their ample free time and writing a few half-decent songs over two decades of tequila-and-beer fueled friendship.

Influences: Tequila, beer, ibuprofen and other occasional soft drugs, women, gravity, weather, Arsenal FC -- and various bands great and small that we admire, who really, really know how to get it done, but who we can't emulate and don't consciously steal from -- all resulting in that unmistakable Waxfruit Sugar Pill sound.

Bands we have covered, but don't necessarily sound like, include: Radiohead, Gin Blossoms, Beatles, Big Star, Belle and Sebastian, Sumack, and The Replacements.
Sounds Like: Twee-Pop Cuddlecore, Emo Wilson Phillips .... but seriously, it's better that you tell us, because self-appraisal is beyond our critical capacities.Names dropped in describing us have included: XTC, Tenacious D, America, Neil Young, Matthew Sweet and - believe it or not (we cannot) - Jethro Tull. So maybe it's not better that you tell us.OK, tell us. Please.
