About Me

Myspace Layouts - Free Image HostingDirty Helen was the vision of Greg McCormack and Gary Batts. Winning such acclaims as "Hard Rock Cafe's National Battle of the Bands" in 2002, DH toured most of the West Coast and southern states for a year.Initially starting off as the threesome, Jester's Folly in 1994 with Amil McAnelly on bass, the trio's fan base seemed to grow overnight. In 1999, as Lachrymethod, they added the vocal stylings of Jarrod Watson and bassist, Chad Hailey. Finally in 2001, Dirty Helen was born. The premiere CD "Sleep" was released unsigned and mixed independently. In 2002, Loud Cow Productions took them under their wing and with a new Promotions Manager, Rebah Dolbow, they released "Literally" along with 2 Single EP's and were soon playing in every venue in DFW. From The Flying Saucer and 8.0's in Ft. Worth to The Cavern and Hard Rock Cafe in Dallas, DH left no place unmarked. They owe most of their local fame to their diehard fans.Today, the members are now working on independent projects.
