About Me

Spawned from a man (Al), who sang in a group of brothers in the 50's and 60's. A woman (Carolyn) who promoted jazz shows, and fashion shows thoughtout NYC, "KHADEJIA" was created and her destiny..."MUSIC" and the journey begins... Introduction to the legends, Vandy C and Bill Blast in the middle of Brooklyn, Bedford Stuyvesant, Thompkins Park's biggest hip hop presentation. In a time where hip hop was classified as negative, noise headed for a road to destruction. The only radio station DJ's at the time who had the vision and guts to play a music which was born directly from the hearts of those in the street, "US", those in the struggle. Khadejia's first summer job at 91.5's Medgar Evers Radio, these two innovators saw and heard the talent in Khadejia and introduced her to the legendary "Fresh Gordon", who gave her the opportunity to learn every aspect of the studio, to write and develop her music skills. Manager/JP Edmund, who taught her and continues to teach her all aspects of the music and entertainment business. Kangol and the group UTFO, Full Force, Dana Dane, Herby Luv Bug, Salt & Pepa, Jazzy Joyce and Sweet T, Kid & Play, Kwame. All of who she had the pleasure to work with, developing what would soon be a life long experience. This was the beginning, Khadejia was a part of the merger between vocalist, and rappers collaborating on a record. Like the legendary, Angie Stonie "Angie B" which Khadejia came to work with in later years. From high school , to the wonderful experience of touring, Khadejia saw the world, Japan, Italy, Paris, Germany, Switzerland, London, Austrailia, Africa. Then Khadejia's R&B world began!! With one of the legendary group's of our generation New Jack Swing's own "GUY", Teddy Riley, Aaron Hall, and Damion Hall, included Khadejia's voice on stage for a 6 part harmony sensation and toured the world again for years. In between shows, Khadejia continued to grow and sing on album projects and work with artist such as, Mary J. Blidge, Gerald Levert, Bobby Brown, Christopher Williams, Royal Flush, Mic Geronimo, The Ranjah's, Whodini, Crystal Waters, Johnny Gill, Brian McKnight, Deborah Cox, Ultra Nate, R. Kelly, Faith, Maxi Priest & Shaggy, Bilal. One day off the road Khadejia receives a call from a close friend, "Jazz O" and that led to being apart of the 2nd single "Ain't No Nigga" with JZ on his Dead President's project. It didn't stop there, a second call comes from a close friend, "Susan Mates/now manager of Quan/studio manager of Platinum Studios, NYC", to sing on "Gone Til November" with artist/producer "Wyclef Jean". Fate continues so that Khadejia ends up being the female vocalist in Refugee Camp/Columbia Records with the single, "Here We Go", on Funkmaster Flex's volumeIII album featuring, "The Product G&B". Unfortunately, Refugee Camp's deal was lost, but the journey had to continue...reinventing herself Khadejia began to dive in the world of Commercial Jingles introduced to her by artist crooner Wil Downing, vocal arranger/writer/producer Danny Madden, producer David Morales and artist/producer Freddie Fox. Shredded Wheat, Red Lobster, Juicy Fruit, Dr. Pepper to name a few.Khadejia has now entered to the world of "PUBLISHING", yes...publishing with her business partner, the legendary "DJ Clark Kent". With a deal on the table, Spirit Music Publishing, now Manager of writer/artist Rufus Blak, Khadejia has collaborated and written for projects for Olivia, Angie Stone and continues to work on expanding her new company of writers and soon producers. As Khadejia's journey continues, she will keep you updated!!! Thank you for being apart of this experience. To be continued....
