ladies and gentlemen, lovers and supporters, haters and fools let me introduce myself to you:
munchy aka ivana dancalot - sound engineer, media designer, journalist, dancehall queen.
living and loving reggae and dancehall music, simple as that.
my profession:
after my graduation from school I did some trainings as sound engineer and executive producer and made my diploma at msg private school. I worked at dorian gray studios, was a freelancer for a couple of german tv stations assisting camera, lights and production staff and managed a tent at tollwood festival.
as a sound engineer I record and mix mainly dubplates, for example at chiemsee reggae summer festival. I also love producing and remixing mainly for my sound righteous riddims .
as a journalist I write for reggae bash an ezine, do reports, interviews, news - anything that comes along the way and is worth a minute of typing.
at the moment I am training as audio-visual media designer at br, a national tv and radio station working with all technical aspects like camera, vision mixing or editing.
my passion:
I remember dancing from ever since, starting with ballet as a little kid. I did belly dancing for a couple of years in school and imitated the good old michael jackson with my group the kop-dancers. of course you do some standard dancing classes and I also couldn't miss tango argentino. due to my love for reggae music and after 7 months in jamaica being a dancehall queen was just a natural consequence.
I do solo shows or dance with my great group badda gyalore or with artists such as elephant man and tok.
in 2006 I won nuremberg dancehall queen together with my badda gyal jara.
that is it. way to much stuff... just in case you want to know even more about me, read my blog, check my website or unno betta come talk to me.
