I am Shawna. First off, I am adding friends that share similar interests, etc. only. This is because people like to advertise on comment boards & leave abusive postings. Many profiles are deceiving. I don't mean to offend anyone by denying you. I have been married 11 yrs and have a 10 yr old son and a 7 yr old son. I have many hobbies which consist of: reading anything that will gain me wisdom, making jewelery, purses, some clothing, & art, supporting independent artist near and overseas (fair-trade). I love folk art and music, as well as tons of different music based on my mood...I am a Peta member, although I don't participate in violence or extreme displays to spread the information nor do I agree with it..(I am not claiming that Peta does any of this as they do many good things.) Many things that activists do, actually degrade humans to below animals, & it is sad . How can People trying to spread the meaning of compassion, show it with violence?!? Let your actions be a billboard for the change you want to see. I went vegetarian for a long time. After 3 months of using all soy based fake meat products, It has caused health problems. (hypothyroidism). Just a warning if you are consuming more than 8 oz of soy a day, u may have symptoms that could be signs of this condition. Send me a note if you'd like to know more. I love handmade items of all kinds and sell those items from time to time on ebay. I like alternative medicines,organic products, non-toxic living, living as green as I can, and finding ways to make a positive difference in the world. I love spending time with my family. I have a dog, 2 cats, a bird, and a fish. *~*~*~*~*~In an interview with Jerry Garcia, he once said, "I was raised a Catholic so it's very hard for me to get out of that way of thinking. Fundamentally I'm a Christian in that I believe that to love your enemy is a good idea somehow. Also, I feel that I'm enclosed within a Christian framework so huge that I don't believe it's possible to escape it, it's so much a part of the western point of view. First of all, GRATEFUL DEAD!!Miracle Train, Tea Leaf Green, Bob Marley, Ziggy Marley, Janelle(the catholic artist singing on the dedication to pope john paul II video below.), Instereo (local artist on friends list),Holly Spears (local artist on friends), Norah Jones, Depeche Mode, Josh Groban, Alanis Morissette, Incubus, Guns 'n Roses, Metallica, Underwood, Phish, Ekoostik Hookah, Yondermountain string band, widespread, String Cheese Incident, so so many more! all of it when the mood is right (even a little Weird Al in the mix). I like world music, native music(flute),hand drumming, folk, a little hip-hop, jazz, instrumental, celtic, as well as 60's, 70's, and too many to mention. I love the movie music of Danny Elfman! (edward scissorhands, Corpes Bride) He does a lot of Tim Burton's films(Actually all but one). They are genius together. An artist that I found, "Bilkis", on my friends list, has a sound that "massages" your nerves and mesmorizes the mind. Click on "water-garden" in her profile on her songs ***

Movies:

I like Will Ferrell movies. In "ELF", I adore the childlike happiness he portrays. There is a clip of the movie below. Watch it....please?! Television:

I love Days of our lives!!! I don't watch any of the popular shows on regular tv. I have never even watched an episode of friends when it was big. If its popular, I usually won't watch it, unless it is DAYS!!! I watch Clean house on style network, just about anything on style network. I watch a little animal planet & some reality shows that aren't too nuts, as well as Discovery type channels, food network (to get great recipes + it's relaxing), and EWTN for some inspiration. ="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting" lamp

Books:

#1 is the Bible! Tolkien, C.S. Lewis. Anything that will gain me wisdom. a warm-hearted writer whom I really suggest is Max Lucado, especially for children (he writes adult, teens, & kids books). I am a magazine reader. VEGNEWS as well. I like fairytale type books & am about to begin a audio cd on one. survey
