About Me
Dollars for Darfur, the National High School Challenge to stop genocide in Darfur,
was created by Nick Anderson and Ana Slavin as a campaign of the Save Darfur Coalition.
Dollars for Darfur uses Facebook and MySpace to connect high school students across the
country in order to raise money to improve the situation in Darfur.
Our aim is to raise $200,000 nationwide.
It is our goal for 1,000 high schools across America to join the Challenge.
The high school which raises the most money will receive our grand prize,
which will be announced at the end of the Challenge.
Once you've signed up, there will be a prompt for online donations.
Be sure to indicate the name of your school
so that you get proper credit for your donation.

Half of the money raised will fund humanitarian efforts for Darfuri refugees through organizations such as Oxfam, Doctors Without Borders, and the International Rescue Committee.
The other half will fund the advocacy efforts of the Save Darfur Coalition.
Each generation is defined by the world it grows up in and by how it responds to crises such as what is happening today in Darfur.
Over the last three years, nearly 400,000 people have been killed and another 2,500,000 have been displaced.
Women are being raped, men murdered, and children left homeless and starving.
Our generation is inheriting a world full of problems.
It is up to us to take action.
By accepting the Dollars for Darfur Challenge,
you are aiding those suffering in Darfur,
and also helping to define our generation.
Let's not stand by idly and watch as another genocide occurs.
