Cat Porter

I grew up in a little village in Kent with my family and am the youngest of 3 - I have an older sister Helen who is a full time mum and older brother Richard who is a dentist and facial surgeon.After getting my science A'levels at Maidstone Grammar School for girls I went on to do a degree in Biological Sciences at Kings College London. While studying at Uni and a tiny size 6 I supplemented my studies with modeling jobs for the likes of BMW, Orange, Vodaphone, M&S, Land Rover, Pantene, VO5.....a whole range. It also lead on to a few film and TV appearances including, Die Another Day, 40 with Eddie Izzard and the Lenny Henry show. I continued modeling after university for sometime and while at a graduate assessment day (where I was going for jobs in the city!)I got 'spotted' by someone who worked for TV Jobshop and offered me a reporting job there. i was really thrown in at the deep end having to produce and edit my own shows - a steep learning curve. From there I went on to present on the Ill fated Auction World (luckily I wasn't there for long!),TX1 Avago, Nation 217, The Advert Channel, Quiz Call, The Overseas Property channel and of course now The Mint on ITV1.I my free time I love horse riding and have been doing it since I was 4. Also love keeping fit by going to the gym, running and shaking my funky thang! Live in London (when not in the Mint Mansion) but love to escape to the countryside as much as possible. I am a pretty keen shopper although can be prone to pavement rage if by feet get tired and I'm carrying too many bags!New passion - cooking! I am turning into quite the domesticated queen!Love to drink - Pink Champagne of course!Ideal job - Presenting a Science and experiment based show with a twist of entertainment. Love to eat - sushi, Indian food, exotic fruit.
