About Me

By day I educate the masses as a publicist and advertising copywriter. But at night, I don a cape and mask and avenge … oh wait, wrong bio. In reality, when I'm not working, I'm busy on my films as a writer, director, producer and editor. And all too often I find myself behind the camera as well. My films include the comedies “Inside ‘Scoop’”, "as advertised”, “Portrait of a Red Light Woman”, “Pilgrimage to Becca”, "Terror Detectives" and "Meow!" I was also cinematographer and editor on Vincent Dee Miles’s short film “Anna’s Cross.”
Doing my best Alfred Hitchcock imitation (that would be via actions, not girth), I made my acting debut in my own short film “as advertised” where I played Guy In Commercial. I followed that role up with Guy in Park in “Inside ‘Scoop’” and then played Guy in Elevator in both “Pilgrimage to Becca” and “Anna’s Cross.” When making "Terror Detectives" I branched out and played Guy Indiana. In my last film "Meow!" I was Guy in Pain. If you want to know what's next, I really hope to play Guy Who Gets Girl. It’s been a dream role for a long time. My fingers are crossed.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'm looking for people who are interested in making films in the Sacramento area -- whether as an actor or member of the crew ... or people who would like to give me money. That would be okay too.

Meow! The Musical

My latest movie starts filming on April 30.  Yeah.  It involves singing and dancing and fighting (none of which will be done by me).  I've got an incredible cast in place: Rae WrightAl...

"Pilgrimage to Becca"

So it's time for the next short film -- and perhaps the last before tackling a feature.  I started production on "Pilgrimage to Becca" formally titled "Getting Past First."  It's a quirky lo...

Name it right the first time

So I did this little short called "Scooped" for the 48 Film Festival (turned it in a couple of hours early, thank you very much), and on the way to view it at the Crest it dawned on me, there was a be...

Rough Cut

So last week I previewed (is that the right word?) a rough cut of my film "Portrait of a Red Light Woman" at a party of mostly strangers to me ...and the strangest thing happened -- the audience actua...

One More Short

I think I'm going to shoot just one more short before tackling my feature film.  First came "As Advertised" which was about an advertising pitchman trying to pitch some really poorly concepted (...

Hookers no more.

My short film "Portrait of a Red Light Woman," which was supposed to be a two-day shoot (plus an extra day or two of shooting b-roll), is finally wrapped ... after nearly 3 months in production. ...

Great Actors

So far my favorite part of making short films is watching what actors do with the words that I write.  More often than not, their performances take the characters to levels I never even dreamed o...

Poop ... there I said it.

I'm fortunate that I can write comedy, be it print ads and radio spots, or short stories and screenplays, I typically have a good sense of what is humorous.  One area that I almost alwa...

Looking for Hookers

Oh, this is probably the point where I should explain.  We are currently in pre-production on a  new short film "Portrait of a Red Light Woman" and as you may be able to ascertain from the t...
