RELEASED NOV '06: Mike Mills (of REM) and Sally Ellyson (of Hem) performing the Big Star song "Jesus Christ"- a christmas single I put together to benefit the Red Apple Foundation.
OCTOBER '07: I've got a track on the pre-order edition of Face Down Records' compilation titled "About A Girl". It will be available on the six track bonus disc!
FALL '07: DIG FOR FIRE: a tribute to the Pixies (featuring J. Mascis, They Might Be Giants, Mogwai, OK Go, Bristish Sea Power, and Charles Douglas) for which I've recorded a version of "Manta Ray". Yeah, I'm pretty much the luckiest kid in the world. Plus a fun side project (with Brian "It's A King Thing" Mietz and J Tagmire of The Castle arms) will appear on an album Charles Douglas is compiling to benefit animal shelters in LA.
EARLY '08: DLO is teaming up with Thirsty Ear Recordings to release a collection of mostly rare and previously unreleased tracks from some really cool artists (Bright Eyes, David Bazan, The Wrens and many more) to benefit the Future of Music Coalition. I'll probably be on that too.
Yes, there is a finished album sitting around collecting dust until I can figure out what to do with it.
