I dig people that make ridiculous jokes (not tasteless). People that understand the "yes AND..." thing that makes conversations. People who know how to party, and make a scene but have enough common sence not to be a jerk. I don't know... if your friendly and try to have something interesting to say... or just laugh a lot... I'll get along with you.
80's electro-pop. I also dig industrial. Stuff I can dance to. Hrm. Big fan of: Thompson Twins, B-52s, Psychotica, ABC, Poison, Nina Hagen, Pet Shop Boys, KMFDM, Erasure, Oingo Boingo, Godspell, Prick, Thrill Kill Kult, Scissor Sisters, Grace Jones, Prince, Dead Or Alive, Psychedelic Furs, Duran Duran, Klaus Nomi... to name a few.
Jim henson's work, John waters, Tim Burton, Donnie Darko, Spookies, Breakin' (that one has made me hurt myself a lot), Batman Returns, - movies without too much computer animation but lots of effects... or umm, I like those outcast movies, the ones with the freak that everyone abuses or ones where the lead characters are in some amazing creature costume.
Passions - until they moved it to direct tv and I don't get to see it anymore! All that there is to watch is court tv now, and it makes me very, VERY sad. That's really about it. Media and me don't see each other all too much. I have an antenna that cost too much and I still only get 3 channels. Not really up on the pop culture empire.
I like all of Edward T. Hall's books. He's a social anthropologist that talks about how people deal with space, and time... and how humanity functions with other cultures. Good stuff. I'm also a big fan of the Weekly World News. Once in a blue moon I'll find a book with a sci-fi kinda thing going on... and I'll love it.
Anyone who's ever stood up for the little guy.
