The Stolen Winnebagos

They are not men, but shadows of men. With their grubby fingers in the pies of all that is mystic and vile, they shed their mortal vessels like inter-dimensional chameleons. "The Stolen Winnebago's are playing tonight?" No, no, it's the Wisconsin Testicular Bear Trap--twisted backwoods lumberjacks with little else on their minds than Primus tunes and Molson Ice beer. "I hear the Winnebago's are playing at Jerry's this Sunday..." Wrong again. When you get there, what walks through the door would suck the life out of a cocaine induced party organized by Freddie Mercury himself. It's three men, dressed head to toe in black, whose presence makes one question the very existence of God. Raven's Dive, they call themselves. Just when the world couldn't get any darker, one of them speaks, "Your applause is like excrement in my drink, and I don't need that."
What is the fuel of the Winnebago's? What drives them to seek such arcane and occult knowledge that allows them to jump from body to body, from band to band? We'll let them answer:
"Money," said Peaches, the guitarist. "Money and women, I guess. Y'see, more bands means more money. More money means more ladies, and, well, you do the math."
When asked if preserving the integrity and artistic merit of the music they cover means anything, the drummer, Joe Lombardo, responded, "When was the last time someone wanted to have sex with your integrity?"
Regardless of their tactics, The Stolen Winnebago's certainly know how to entertain. With a repertoire that covers everything from funk to grunge, from Lionel Richie to Tool, any spectator will go home satisfied.
