A classically trained pianist, music producer, songwriter, Vann Clayton began playing at 3 years old eventually incorporating jazz, hip-hop and R&B to his repertoire. Fresh out of high school he was recruited by an L.A.-based independent record label to produce songs for various gospel, R&B, and hip-hop artists becoming the youngest producer on the team. His unique sound and versatility have sparked the interest of rap artist David Banner, McKnight Entertainment, the late George Howard, movie director John Peters and highly-respected music producers including Warryn Campbell and Eric Dawkins. His growth and versatility kept the attention of Grammy-award winning Warryn Campbell so much that in 2007 he was signed to a non-exclusive production deal and exclusive publishing with My Block Records. Vann Clayton also co-produced and created four tracks on new artist Dayna Caddell’s upcoming urban inspirational project, distributed through KOCH. In addition, Clayton is a prolific rapper and has won several battles. He enjoys tennis, skateboarding and swimming.
