Rapper Chris Phillips also known as “CPâ€, born in Los Angeles California, is making his way into the music scene with a style which most have said is “nothing like the rest from the west coastâ€. In 2001 Chris Phillips developed his taste for writing rhymes. Taking the biggest words he could find and merging them together was his way of rhyming. After years of practice, he realized that writing music was an undiscovered talent of his among many others. While in High School he worked on developing his skills in “free styling†which he considered to be an important essential to being an emcee. Throughout the rest of his High School years Chris impressed crowds of people with his talent. Now, Chris Phillips is currently creating what he considers "real music". Unlike many other artist who just rhyme without any significant meaning or concept, Chris paints a picture on what he feels his life is about. Those pictures turn out to be very meaningful and vivid expressions. He stated that "Its not about what the next man is doing' its about what you can do for the next man. In other words its about setting a trend verses following one. Hip Hop is art, and art is about individual expression. There’s way too many so called rappers who do what other successful rappers are already doing. Its time for a change."
