Friendster LayoutsMi nombre es Santiago Bedolla, baterista nacido en Hermosillo Sonora el 30 de Julio del 84', formado en Sinaloa y actualmente viviendo en Guadalajara. Toco desde que tengo aproximadamente 11 años y medio, Empecé tocando en Sinaloa con una banda de rock progresivo a los 12 años llamado Antokia, con una gran influencia de bandas del género, principalmente como Dream Theater y Rush. Desde ese momento supe que la música era mi vida puesto que no podía dejar de escucharla, hasta que con el paso del tiempo fui desarrollandome y conociendo otros estilos musicales tales como el jazz, funk, smooth jazz, etc. mismos generos que tuve la oportunidad de estudiar en el Center for the arts en Michigan. A partir de ese momento mis influencias y estilos musicales se convirtieron en un capricho de querer explorar y conocer toda la música posible, enfocándome más al funk, rock y smooth jazz. Fue ahí cuando descubrí a increibles músicos bateristas como Akira Jimbo, Tony Royster, Hiroyuki Noritake, Antonio Sánchez, Harvey Mason, Dennis Chambers e incluso Mike Portnoy de Dream Theater quienes me dieron y siguen dando una inspiración distinta a lo que sentía cuando recién trataba de comprender la música.He tenido la oportunidad de trabajar con grandes músicos en el escenario tapatío, tales como Lalo Galván, El Rojo Navarro, Willy Zavala, Salvador Llanes, Basse, Soundshine, Morse, etc. y a la vez, compartido escenario con grupos como Haash, Belanova, Plastiko, Natalia Lafourcade, entre otros.Actualmente me encuentro trabajando con Siddhartha, ex baterista de Zoé, con nuevos proyectos en puerta.Hasta el día de hoy, sigo con la tarea de buscar siempre mejorar y encontrar un estilo propio que haga una diferencia en el mundo musical. Busco compartir lo que siento al escuchar, interpretar y ejecutar el instrumento con la música, y conocer a todos aquellos talentosos que andan escondidos por ahí;Por lo pronto, espero que disfruten y escuchen algunas de mis interpretaciones y composiciones propias (Lemonade), dejen comentarios!Gracias por escuchar y seguir,Carpe Diem

I'm Santiago Bedolla, mexican drummer, born in Hermosillo, Sonora on July 30/84', raised in Sinaloa and currently living in Guadalajara. I've been playing since I was 11 yrs. and a half aprox. till this very day. I started playing in Sinaloa with a progressive rock band at the age of 12, called Antokia, having at that moment a massive influence of prog bandssuch as Dream Theater and Rush mainly. By that time it was impossible for me to avoid listening artists and drummers from all kind, until time passed by and I kept developing and growing with some other musical styles such as jazz and funk, same in which I studied at Interlochen Center of the Arts in Michigan. From that point my influences and musical styles became into a fancy whim of wanting to play all kinds of rhythms and exercises existing, focusing on funk, rock and smooth jazz mainly. It was there when I found these amazing drummers such as Akira Jimbo, Tony Royster, Hiroyuki Noritake, Antonio Sánchez, Harvey Mason, Dennis Chambers and even Portnoy who gave and still give me a different inspiration compared to what I felt when I was trying to understand music initially.I've had the great opportunity to work with unique musicians such as Lalo Galván, El Rojo Navarro, Willy Zavala, Salvador Llanes, Basse, Soundshine, Morse, etc. and at the same time, share stage with important bands such as como Haash, Belanova, Plastiko, Natalia Lafourcade, among others.I'm currently working with Siddhartha, ex-drummer from the band Zoe, with many projects on board.Nowadays, I'm still seeking to improve and try to find a unique style that enables me to make a difference in this musical world.
