Clasical was the sound I grew up learning to play the violin, Rock/Alternative kept me awake driving to school, Freestyle is where it all started, Country/Hawaiian when I'm visiting my brother in Virginia, Hip Hop/ Rap drives the beats on the dancefloor @ the club, House/DnB/Techno takes me home after being at the club all night, Roots/Reggae/Conteporary Hawaiian when the world is driving me crazy, and R&B/Jazz rocks me to sleep when nothing else will do...well almost nothing...I can think of something else that does...but that doesn't come from the 1's & 2's and generates a different type of sound all together...funny thing though is that I'm back to listening to clasical music again ...
but this time it's coming from my guitar instead...
I have had many influences in my life but two individuals made the largest impact on the way I think and how I choose to live my life.
My Dad...who lost both parents before the age of ten, was in an interment camp during the War, came to Hawaii with virtually nothing, worked hard and created a family, did extremely well for himself financially, traveled all over the world, fell in love with Las Vegas so much that he went every month and came back a winner every time...
hopefully I can achieve even half the success as he did...
My Brother...who took our dreams internationally and never stopped dreaming...he was always there to help me through and out of the deepest shit in my life, taught me to have fun, and to love life and embrace it to the fullest...
I know one day we will be together again...I miss you both...
May God hold you close to his heart...
as I will always hold you near mine...
My nephew AJ is the only reason why I put up with the madness in my life...for a two year old...he's the bomb...smart individual and awesome personality...he is definitley my hero!!!
That's not a cocktail in his hand but he wanted to look cool cruzing by the pool pretending that he is having one with the boys...he's the man!!!
