I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I reached my teen years during the turbulent 60’s. Living through all of that political unrest and social upheaval kept me keenly attuned our nation and world, and I believe that made me a more humane, human being. I’ve also lived a healthy lifestyle, so I presently feel decades younger than my birth certificate indicates.

My present goal in life is to become a published author, but until I make that happen, I punch a time-clock to pay my bills. When the day’s work is done, I unwind by writing, playing piano and gazing through my telescope at the starlit heavens.

My Interests

.. I like pie.

So sorry, I've been previewing too many sample layouts.

My main interests are:

Writing
Piano
Astronomy

OK, OK, I'll admit it. I do like pie, too.

I'd like to meet:

I am here to make friends, find a creative outlet for my writing, and, perhaps even establish valuable contacts with other writers/authors.

Eagles - Last Resort
..
Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor - Image Hosting

Music:

.. My musical tastes span the globe and the centuries. If I chose to name every single recording artist / band, I could easily sit here for several days and type my fingers to the bone.

To make this easier I'll just list the genres as:

Rock
Alternative
Motown
Blues
Folk
Jazz
Big Band
Classical

And everything else in between

In other words, if it is performed well, I'm pretty much open to giving virtually any style of music a listen.

Movies:

.. As long as the screenplay writer, director, cast, & crew didn't "just phone it in", I won't feel ripped off.

Genres include Suspense, Horror, & Comedy.

Television:

.. I don't watch TV, unless, it's to view a meaningful film on DVD or VHS.

Books:

.. Unfortunately, I don't find much time in my hectic life to read much beyond the daily newspaper and periodicals like New Yorker. But when I do pick up a book, I tend to choose Literature off the beaten path.

The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho

Zlata's Diary - Zlata Filipovic

The Catcher in the Rye - J. D. Salinger

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest - Ken Kesey

Lake Wobegon Summer 1956 - Garrison Keillor

New Rules - Bill Maher

Me Talk Pretty One Day - David Sedaris

Heroes:

.. Anyone who believes in love, freedom and peaceful co-existence.
