Carl Cox is joined throughout July, August and September by an untouchable line-up, including Detroit techno pioneer Derrick May, Drum and Bass innovator Goldie and the unique musical figure that is Green Velvet. Carl’s season on the Island in ’06 even won him the esteemed ‘Best Ibiza Club Night’ at the Ibiza DJ awards. A sure indication of how the night has progressed over the years and of course, the direction it is heading.

Marking Carl’s sixth season at Space, the night needs little introduction and needless to say the line up and venue speak for themselves. Following Carl’s first season at Space in 2002, each summer has seen the parties recognised as some of the most interesting and exciting the island has to offer, not least for the adventurous, forward-thinking line-up on offer. Due to Carl’s highly involved and passionate role as promoter, programmer and host, each year has seen a growth and progression from the last - continued improvements to production, sound, lighting and the variety of guests has seen the nights go from strength to strength. Again the music will span across the 3 main rooms at Space with the start of the night being kicked off by the Angels of Love from Italy in the ‘Sunshine Terrace’ who will be joined early on by Carl. The Inside Terrace and the Main Inside room both kick off at midnight with their respective guests as mentioned above. What really sets this night apart from the rest this year, are the extra ‘terrace sets’ being provided by the likes of Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed and Laurent Garnier (who, amongst others in the line-up, decided this would be their only gig in Ibiza this year!)

Two names synonymous with top quality, cutting edge electronic sounds and massive ecstatic crowds, this year Carl Cox and Space celebrate their fifth anniversary together on Tuesday nights in Ibiza.
In addition, Napoli’s finest Angels of Love host the original terrace for each event, adding some Italo glamour to the sun-soaked dancefloor. (www.angelsoflove.it)
Renowned for the challenging and eclectic set of guest DJs, Carl Cox @ Space 2006 will be no exception, with an even broader musical spectrum including Adam Freeland’s rock-infused breakbeat and the Asian underground sounds of Talvin Singh. Carl will be airing more summery styles on the terrace by day before taking to the main room after dark for some deep electronic House and Techno. On the new terrace, fresh sounds will play into the night, incorporating house, electro, techno, breaks, drum and bass and more.
Last year Carl introduced ‘Late Night Sessions’ where drum and bass veterans Roni Size and LTJ Bukem cooked up a storm. Despite Ibiza being known for its house-centric scene, Carl’s potentially risky choice of cutting edge drum and bass proved massively popular, hence the return of both names for 2006, alongside Brazilian boy wonder DJ Marky. On being asked what he was looking forward to, Marky said, ‘It will be a good chance to catch up with some old friends and make some new ones as well.’ Whether an old friend or a potential new one, with a line up like Carl’s, no one will be left out.
In 2005 Space opened its newly restyled terrace to a great response. Due to the extended opening hours of the roofed terrace (no sound restrictions) Carl Cox @ Space was transformed, enabling a greater diversity of DJs and sounds to be spread across the two.
