Mo Franco

Mo Franco, a.k.a. Maurice Franken, was born and raised in a small town in the south of Holland. He got infected with house music at the age of 15. At that time (1989) this new kind of music was known as acid, hip-house and new-beat. Through the years he gained some good experience at several clubs and party's, and his music style gradually switched from house and progressive, to techno and tech-house.In1999, Mo Franco, now living in the city of Breda, became resident of Spektrum and shared the stage with artists like CJ Bolland, Acid Junkies, Secret Cinema, Michel de Hey, Bart Skils, Marco Bailey, Misjah, James Ruskin, Shinedoe, Estroe, and Per.In 2005 he launched his Plus Minus [+/-] party’s at Boulevard Breda, a minimal & techno event. This event is well known in the area, and has the loving support of a strong fanbase each month. Mo Franco does not only show off his own mixing skills at Plus Minus, he also gives new (local) talent the opportunity to introduce themselves to a never taming enthusiastic crowd.In 2006 Mo Franco joined the then newly released booking agency Bullshit Bookings, run by Frank Kvitta and his wife Tressy.Highlights of 15 years behind the decks are his sets at places like: Loveparade 2008 (D), Ruhr in Love 2008 (D), The Chaos Theory, Empire of Love, Ministry of Dance Rotterdam, Winkel van Sinkel Utrecht, Tropicana Rotterdam, Club XS The Hague, Festival Breda-Beats, Festival Château d House 2004, Mezz Breda, 013 Tilburg, Bootleg Rotterdam, Kerkplein Breda, U60311/Ubar Frankfurt (D), Doornroosje Nijmegen, Poema Utrecht, and Ambulance club Koln (D).Mo Franco is also active as a producer in a project called Gamelab, with Greg Storm. After years of experience and producing music for own use, Paul Hazendonk asked them to do the 10th release on Technique. Cris Cowie made a solid remix of the title track “The Drop”.Mo Franco likes to explore and cross musical borders and combine different styles in the mix.
