About Me

News

4.09.08: There’s some new songs up, as you can probably see. They’re two of the ones we did over Spring Break. Keep in mind, they aren’t completely done, but they’re close.3.18.08: Double Triple is back up by popular demand. Also, some more news: "Never Stop Lovin’" will be on a compilation CD called "Chill Out: East Coast Edition" that will be out sometime this spring and will feature acoustic rock/soul type bands from the East Coast. Keep a lookout for it and be sure to buy a copy at a show!3.16.08: Hey guys, a lot of cool things have been going on lately. We’ve been back in the studio all week working on 3 new songs. It’s been lots of fun and it was great to get back to recording for the first time since last summer. I think they’re turning out great thanks to Forrest’s awesome new drum set and some new recording techniques. The current plan is to finish these 3 plus maybe 3 more at the beginning of the summer and then maybe release a full length? (rereleasing 5 or 6 of the ones from the EP) Maybe? Hopefully?By the way, check out the pictures for some studio shots from last week.BiographyCrashby is comprised of brothers Preston and Forrest Ashby and Jay Coggin. The band places high value on both lyrical and musical ideas, emphasizing solo sections and jamming. Despite a cliché menu of instruments, the trio delivers a soulful, blues-driven, and improvisational approach to pop and rock with a spirit and truthfulness that tastes like the ‘70s.
