"I HAVE ONE SINGLE INTENTION: MAKE YOU DANCE AND UNDERSTAND THAT THEN WE ARE FREE"
Dunne"EU TENHO APENAS UMA INTENÇÃO: TE FAZER DANÇAR E ENTENDER QUE ASSIM SOMOS LIVRES"Dunne was born in Feira De Santana, a city in the countryside of the state of Bahia. On the date of September 22nd 1978. At the age of 21 years old and gone nowhere across the borders of his hometown, he decided to go to Salvador to study theater, once there, he makes part in some small theatrical plays, almost by accident he goes into the musical direction. In 2003, Dunne goes abroad and meets the belgian producer, Wim Verbeke who he had met working on two demo songs and then on a full album. Athough the result of the album was considered good, it didn't get Dunne many attention from the recod Companies. In 2004 Dunne moves to Rio de Janeiro and gets to know the city and people involved in the music business, he worked with some brasilian producers on some tracks, but the music was not as satisfing as the singer and songwriter expected. Sharing his life in two parts, music and surviving, Dunne spent a lot of time working in Cafés, clubs and among other jobs as a tourist guide and modeling. His music had to be left behind for a while but in 2005 he makes another step into it and after saving some money, goes once agian to Belgium to try to make a new album, he also had been in other coutries on his search for the right sound for his music, such as France and the Netherlands and then he took a step to go as far as he could go not to feel pressured to release his album. Not knowing anyone in any Scandinavian coutries he goes to Sweden where he meet Jakob Anderberg and Petruss Wessman and together they worked in five songs for his debut record, "Nada Importa", "ParaÃso(ParaÃso)", "Substituto do Amor", "Altas Horas" and "Só Me Diga Sim". But even before that he went to Denmark where he worked with the producer Chris Wulff on the songs "Nesses Lençis", "O jogo" and "Em Transe" this last one being the first single of the album that takes his own name. All the songs in the album were compeosed by himself and there is even a ballad in the album titled "Canalha" composed in partnership with the belgian songwriter Bert Van Helleputte. After his long journey abroad, Dunne returns to Brazil in 2007 and with a contract signed to release his album by Seven Music and ditributed by Universal Music this Spring.
There is much to say about Dunne and his search as an artist for what he can present as his music, but the best way to start is to just listen to it.
