'Spirit take me up in arms with You' -Jon Foreman

About Me

"Father, give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that we may know You better. Ephesians 1:17
I'm a normal person...pretty much...sometimes shy, sometimes loud, depending on who I am with, whether it's my students, my peers, or my elders. I'm not a big people person, I do appreciate my time alone, but I don't like to be alone all the time. I'm a born again Christian, and have been saved and sold out since I was 9 years old at a Vacation Bible School. I have committed my life to Jesus since. My life is not a perfect life; I have my ups and downs like everyone else, but, through God, I know how to handle them. Another part about me is the other half of me...my husband. I married the greatest guy in the world! Beside Jesus, and my parents, he has helped make me who I am. I love you, Scott!

Drumming I have been playing for 16 years now. My uncle, who is a professional drummer with a few local bands got me into drumming when I was 9. I played in the school band when I was in elementary school, and middle school, and took a year of drum lessons at a local music store. After that, I basically just taught myself learning from what I heard others play. I then played with the youth band at my church. Now I am in two bands from my church, the Church of Grace and Peace in Toms River, New Jersey...and one called Freedom Worship Ministries . I've also had the experience of playing with Rita Springer and Brian Popin, and hope to have the experience of playing with many other annointed worship leaders and musicians for ministering in worship is a passion of mine. At the moment, Freedom Worship Ministries is working on a CD. I would have to say that our influence in style lean more towards U2, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Michael W. Smith (current music and band), and Newsboys to name a few. I would love to get more into alternative and some punk for fun. I also give drum lessons at my home and currently have 12 students. I'm hoping to eventually build that up, as well as travel more. On top of that, I have been the music teacher at a private school for 3 years, teaching drums and theory.

I have a black Premier kit (used, but works), with 12", 13", and 16" toms with Evans hydralic heads which sound really good if you like that bright attack and low end, a Tama steel 14x6 snare, and the one I use frequently is the Ludwig Superphonic steel 14x5 snare, a Mapex double bass with hi-hat attachment (very convenient!), sabian splash, a 16", 17", and 18" sabian crash, and 20" ride.
The drummers that inspire me...
Larry Mullen (U2)
Steve Smith
Carter Beaufard (Dave Matthews Band)
Chad Butler (Switchfoot)
Dave Weckl
Scott Williamson
