K-Skill

Carlos Kuk aka Dj K-Skill, born February 27th, 1983 in Monte Carlo, Argentina, discovers his love for House Music at the young age of six-teen. On his 17th birthday he bought himself his first DJ-equipment. Since that very day he would spend every spare minute behind his turntables. His vinyl-collection started to grown faster and faster.
It wasn’t long until his first bookings. Full of ambition he started playing at bars in Zurich and surroundings (Forecast, Zodiac, Diabolo, D-lite, Velvet). He got a lot of attention and received his first resident job at the Colonial-Bar.
Later on he met one of Zurich’s elite DJ’s, DJ Leon Klein. K-Skill took his chance and turned his mix-tape over to Leo. Leo, who is known to sense talent from miles, heard the tape and only few days later he called K-Skill for a test-booking. K-Skill convinced with his integrity and the right selection in his vinyl-bag. That one day, gave him access to clubs like Club-Q, LaborBar, Säulenhalle, BBQ, Next Club, Viva (Lottstetten) and Supermarket with it’s renowned “Sweethouse” party-series.
Up until today he is one of the most-booked DJ’s for the label-series “BlueNight” which is held at the legendary Oxa club.
In 2004 with his best friend, Daniel Sommer, he launched the partylabel “NightGroove” which in 2004 and 2005 presented the successful “SparklingNight” held every two months at the BBQ-Club.
Early September 2005 in collaboration with Dolce G, he started the party-series “Clubb IN Style” and “Wild Things” held every Thursday at the club Säulenhalle. At the same time they created the label “MyStyle Music”, which still offers events at locations like Säulenhalle, Glamers, BBQ, Acqua aso.
2006 is a pinnacle year for K-Skill. His first record became a big underground success. “My Revolution” featured lyrics by Swiss Rock-Legend “The Crow” and was then remixed by the Guru of electronic-music himself, Andrea Bertolini.
At the moment he’s working on his second release called “Beautiful Letdown”. Everything is still very secretive around his new record, but you can be assured of one thing; K-Skill is here to stay and with his clever grip in his vinyl-case, he will reach the top of the Swiss DJ charts.
