Courtesy of MsTags.com -- MY ONE TRUE HERO...MY DAD --- My dad was diagnoised with PD (Parkinsons Disease) when he was just 33 (my age). He was one of the first cases of YOUNG ONSETS. PD, years ago was thought to be a older generation disease, but over the last few decades, People younger and younger have been getting this horrible disease. There is no cure, there are treatments but a cure still evades us. There is new treatments on the horizen and new innovations in finding a cure, but our biggest hope relies on Stem cell research. Now, some believe in it, some dont...as for my opinion, if it finds a cure for my father and millions of others, I think it needs to be done...But my father has been through many things in his life, and my hope, is that a cure is soon to be found!-- PICTURED IS 2 BRAINS, ONE IS NORMAL WITH NORMAL ACTIVITY, AND THE OTHER IS ONE WITH PARKINSONS DISEASE. THE ORANGE COLOR IS BRAIN ACTIVITY, AS YOU CAN SEE, IN THE PARKINSONS BRAIN, ITS CONSIDERABLLY LESS ACTIVE.---
