Course 1 - BASIC DJING
Areas Covered:
• Class #1: History, music, and equipment
• Class #2: Getting Started, Cue

Class #1: History, music theory, and equipment
Students will learn the origins of DJing. Overview of what DJing is and where it is going. Learn about different DJing equipment and what fits your needs as a DJ. Learn how to setup the equpiment.
Class #2: Getting Started, Cue
Students must understand the very most basic elements of DJing. Students will learn about the record and different sounds on the record. Afterwards learn about cueing a record and trainning studends ears to hear two things at once.
Class #3: Fading, First set
Students will explore the mixer controls. Learn about different crossfader curves. Students will preform their first set. They will be preforming their sets going from one record to the other infront of other classmates.
Class #4: Basic Matching - Trainning the ear
Students will be getting two records to play at the same tempo. Learn to know which track is faster than the other. Synchronize two tracks so the rhthms sit fully on top of each other. Teacher will give examples of different records and review with class of which is faster or slower.
Class #5: Beat Matching - BPMs
Review of which track is faster than other. Covers different technics of ways of adjusting speed of records
Class #6: Fine tune Beat Matching
Students will practice through out the class as a teacher assists them individually.
Course 2 - MIXING / BLENDING
Areas Covered:

• Class #2: Blending
• Class #3: Match Phrases
• Class #4: Cut
• Class #5: Levels, Gains, Stops and Spinbacks
• Class #6: Placing Mixing
Class #1: Overview of Beat Matching
Students will learn the origins of DJing. Overview of what DJing is and where it is going. Learn about different DJing equipment and what fits your needs as a DJ. Learn how to setup the equpiment.
Class #2: Blending
Learn a smooth transition and gradual transitions from one record to another with the beats synchonized. Students will discover different blending techniques. Using headphones during the mix.
Class #3: Match Phrases
Students approaches how to train themselves to divide music into beats, bars, and four-bar phrases. Students will grasp where to spot phrases.
Class #4: Cut
Students will discover how to switch from one record to another, done without losing the beat. Experiment with different cutting styles such as cutting back and forth, scratch cuts, punching in, run-up beats.
Class #5: Levels, Gains, Stops and Spinbacks
Advanced techniques of some of the most startling ways to go from one record to another.
Class #6: Placing Mixing
Students learn the most important things about the set are the records they choose and the order they play them in. Tighting mixing skill techniques.
Course 3 - ADVANCED DJ
Areas Covered:

• Class #2: Back-cue
• Class #3: Scratch - Introduction
• Class #4: Scratch - Baby Scratch, Tear
• Class #5: Scratch - Foward scratch, Back Scratch
• Class #6: Scratch - Transforming
Class #1: EQing, add FX
Students learn about Equalization to pick out different frequencies in the music. Improve better sound. Clean up mixing using cutting or lowering frequencies. Practice the use of signal processors and how it can improve DJ's mix.
Class #2: Back-cue
Learn to take a chuck of a song and manually loop it in to a new and unshakable rhythm track. Train ears to know what sounds to use, where to put the sounds. Learn where to look for cue marks and to cue by sight
Class #3: Scratch - Introduction
Students watch videos of the history of scratching. Where the scratch came from and where its going. Demonstations of the most simple scratches. Students find out where to start to scratch.
Class #4: Scratch - Baby Scratch, Tear,
Start students off with baby scratches that don't use the fader. Learn the classic tear scratch.
Class #5: Scratch - Foward scratch, Back Scratch, Scratching to the beat.
Advanced techniques of scratching.
Class #6: Scratch - Transforming
History and break down of the transform scratch. Last hour scratch session with instructor.
Course 4 - MASTERCLASS

• Class #1: Review of basic scratching and jugglijng
• Class #2: Scratch - Flare
• Class #3: Scratch - Crab, Twiddle
• Class #4: Scratch - Orbit, Scrible
• Class #5: Juggling - Overview
• Class #6: Showcase an exclusive Earthbound Radio event
Class #1: Review of basic scratching and jugglijng
History and breakdown of basic scratching and juggling.
Class #2: Scratch - Flare
History of the flare scratch. Demonstration from instructor of the flare scratch. Students practice with instructor through out the day.
Class #3: Scratch - Crab, Twiddle
More advnaced scratches are taught and students practices with instructor through out the day.
Class #4: Scratch - Orbit, Scrible
Instructors show every step to create a orbit and scrible scratch. Students practice with instructor through out the day.
Class #5: Juggling - Overview
Students will learn in using their decks as a drum machine. Learn beat- shopping techniques. Selecting different areas for different sounds.
Class #6: Showcase and an exclusive Earthbound Radio event. Students will graduate by preforming a live set live on Earthbound Radio Studios in San Diego. Food and drinks will be provided for graduation day.
