chthonian ((k)???n??n ) 'of the earth'. adjective concerning, belonging to, or inhabiting the underworld: ORIGIN late 19th cent.: from Greek khthôn ‘earth’.The chthonian entity exists in its current line-up since fall/winter 2004. The music could be described as metal with psychedelic-, prog- and trashelements, but you are not stupid enough to believe that unproven, are you? So rate yourself and give us a piece of your mind, if you think we should know it!

the batter man (beats the hell out of everything)As you can see, a classic instrumentation. Anyway, chthonian was founded in late 2003 by Ansgar, Pascal and Gregor, first supported by Kruse, later by Pascal B. on bass. Since late 04 with Andi on bass and Martin on second guitar.The band had a sun-darkening pile of names through the first years, but those that weren`t just crappy all appeared to be already allocated. So i would not advise anyone to dispute it. We have knives...Due to the diverse influences of the members our concept seems to be the attempt to combine memorable riffs and melodies with varified rythm-, song- and vocalstructures, or at least something like that.Would be a stupid list of good bands, if we write down our influences,... much more interesting would be to know, which influences YOU can hear!!
So, add us, write us, hear us, tell us, or whatever you want to...If you`re still reading this you should have almost finished the first song.
