I am married to the same guy that I've been with for 16 years (married for 12, WOW!!) and have 2 beautiful daughters ages 15 and 10. (who can't stand to be together, and can't stand to be apart)
Ever since the seventh grade, I have been bound and determined not to be like anyone else; I had to be different, not normal (thanks to Cheryl & Randy Rhoads). I also tend to do things on the spur of the moment; get wild hairs up my ass quite often.(right, Po?)
As far as who I am and what I like, well, there's a lot of stuff that I am a "freak" about:
Randy Rhoads, Dustin Hoffman, Rush, Star Wars, The Saints, Egyptian things, New Orleans, my friends, my family, and of course, cats. These are the things that make ME. They make me happy.
I love listening to Randy Rhoads play, even though I am not a guitar player, he is an inspiration to me. He wasn't afraid to show what he could do with a guitar. He wasn't afraid to be different; it was OK to be different.
I enjoy watching Dustin Hoffman movies, as he can play so many different charaters with ease.
I love listening to Rush because of Neil Peart's extraordinary percussion and writing ability. Alex Lifeson is a nut, and Geddy Lee's sound is unmistakeable.
Star Wars movies, because of the "futuristic" space fantasy, and being able to get lost in the story.
The Saints, well, because they are my hometown team, and I love football.
I love egyptian things, because they are so beautifully crafted, and tell stories.
I love New Orleans, because it is MY city. I may live in Metairie, outside of New Orleans, but I still love the city.
I love my family and extended family and friends, because they accept me for who I am.
I've always loved cats, and I've had many cats. Alex and Punkin will always be special to me, as I had them the longest before they passed away of old age.
