About Me

Kristina Boswell has charmed the Central Florida scene since 1997 with the guitar her Grandfather gave her as a little girl. She composed her own music and tested it out on audiences at local coffee shops. Later that year she rocked a solo acoustic set at the Battle of the Bands in Kissimmee and won. There was a rainbow in the sky that day, she recalls. Encouraged by her success, she formed her first band, "The Gandy Dancers". They wrote and recorded an unreleased self titled masterpiece. Thwarted by creative agreements and perfectly aligned personality quirks, they forgot to disband. At Spinal Tap's (wholly unimagined) suggestion they lit out into the ether to meet again in the distant future as geriatric nincompoops. After selling out in her old age and filling her retirement account with the spoils of good taste and youthful confusion, the Universe folded in on itself and returned Kristina to her climaxing past/present.

Her return was triumphant. Invigorated by the memory of old age (vintage tinkertoys, paper boats, pinwheels and petrified redwood trees) she set out for a second time with a new band featuring Gus Ramage of the long lost drunken ska band "Fat Timmy". Together, intertwined, intermingled, polka dotted, and freshly minted "Happy Ending Happening" they used ionized water to harness the Energy of the baked throngs of admirers at Will's Pub, Java Joes, Scruffy Murphys, Stardust, FBI, Knock Knock, Gallery 611, and the Bar-B-Q Bar. HEH recorded an introspective delight of an album titled "Lucidmanicah" which landed, safely, the band a live performance on the legendary home of David Plotkin: 91.5 WPRK.

Hounded by fans and forgotten by the future, Kristina renamed herself Lady Boswell. Burbling with creativity and unbounded by the Bassett Hounds of J.S. Bach music theory, she formed a stubbornly coherent experimental jam group forged by the friendly muckfires of Eustis and shook turbulent happy atmosphere into art shows under various assumed identities such as Orgon Intensity, Dripping Hyperbole, Drastic Constant, Mopey Bear, Twittering Mad Tea Enthusiasts, etc..

They galloped into 2003 where Kristina (now St. Freya) joined forces with formidable talents Bambi Helicopter, Graciela Flowers, and Elijah Tetravision as Ozone Kabloowhee and recorded "Flame-Flame". The band flooded the toilet on several occasions at the aforementioned Orlando battlements and also at the Bodhisattva Social Club, Kit Kat Club, and Alpha Bar. After Graciela Flowers quit the band to give birth to a healthy Earthling, Kristina Boswell hit the road early 2004 with furious casual curiosity (a dear friend with lucky charm). She found herself working with violin virtuoso Annie Ford for two magical recording sessions in Eureka, California, that culminated in two lovely acoustic albums. Kristina moved to austin in 2005 formed yet another fucking band, called Little Aurora they made an album, played about, and quietly disassembled. Currently Kristina Boswell is happy as a clam playing in No Mas Bodas!,a weirdo- electronic- synth- garage avant-guard ambush of creepy love space war music! They are making their album at Tin Can-Can studios and soon will be playing in your head!
