This is a mix we did for No Love Lost Records, heres what they had to say about it:“Ocelot (Leopardus pardalis), also known as the Painted Leopard, McKenney’s Wildcat or Manigordo, is a wild cat distributed over South and Central America and Mexico, but has been reported as far north as Texas and in Trinidad, in the Caribbean. The Ocelot’s appearance is similar to that of the domestic cat (but with the fur of a Jaguar). OCELOT also happens to be one of the most talented and in-demand, DJ and production duos in the world today. Coming straight off their very well received and much talked about “Ocelot Remix” of Swedish pop sensation, ROBYN’s current hit single, “Be Mine”, this U.S./U.K. based duo have seen fit to grace the No Love Lost Records Mixtape Project with its twentieth exclusive mix. The mix OCELOT have crafted is an absolute monster, spanning some 96 minutes and 39 tracks, all carefully selected and mixed within a millisecond of perfection. Besides the obvious delights to be found within the mix, such as the many original OCELOT productions and remixes, other highlights to listen for include a towering mash-up of two cuts of DAFT PUNK’s “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” (the “Deadmau5 Remix” and “Accapella” versions) with the “MSTRKFT Remix” of JUSTICE smash “D.A.N.C.E.” It’s simple in concept, but clearly complex and massive sounding in its execution, an amalgamation of French House brilliance to be reckoned with. The vintage audio clips of ancient adverts for staple U.S. junk food cake Twinkie’s and AutoLite Wheels, used to bookend the opening and closing of the mix are likewise a stroke of genius.copy and paste link below:
