The UK Metal scene is overflowing with bands who spend more time in the mirror than they do on their music.
It’s time for change.
Enter Severenth.
Severenth represent the true aesthetic of metal, loud, dark and uncompromisingly brutal, crawling from the obscurity of the underground to rip the face off the pretentious ‘scene’ bands.
Determined and ferocious the Chester quintet’s music is the product of both modern day influences such as Devildriver, Chimaira and Arch Enemy but also the old-school of Metallica, Pantera, Sabbath and Maiden.
Combining a turbo-charged twin guitar attack with earthshaking bass, ballistic blast-beats and the kind of throat-shredding screams that cause nightmares, the band have developed a mature modern metal sound which switches between aggression and melody effortlessly, making Severenth’s music not only intense but also catchy.
The band have already shared stages with the likes of:
3 Inches Of Blood (Roadrunner Records)
Panic Cell
Will Haven
Bring Me The Horizon
Biomechanical
Shaped By Fate
Viatrophy
Forever Never
Fei Comodo
In May 2007, Severenth entered the prestigious MCC studios in Cheshire to record their debut demo with Producers Andy Giblin (I-Def-I, Kill2this, Profane) + Mark Doyle (Profane).
August 2007 sees the band signing a deal with independant UK record label Copro/Casket Records, this will lead to a debut album being released worldwide in March 2008.
'Severenth is possibly the most brutal live act on the local scene, with watertight riffs coupled to crisp rhythm patterns these guys will leave you breathless.Fronted by Peet Bailey and his borderline falsetto vocal, you can't miss them.'
